Peyton Smith was nothing short of impressive at the KC Varsity Combine on Saturday. The 2024 Defensive Back drew the attention of coaches and scouts who were present. One college coach remarked: “Peyton was solid all day.”
Smith was very smooth and fluid through all of the drills before his eye popping performance during one on one’s. His coverage in the slot was outstanding. In a dozen reps Smith did not allow a catch and had 3PBU’s.
Smith is putting the finishing touches on what has been a workman’s offseason. He is bigger, stronger and faster heading into his senior football season. He will be a major contributor to the Spartans defense in 2023.
